Meet Paulette Moag

I Believe We Should All Have a Say in What Our Future Looks Like

For more than 30 years, I built a successful corporate career, leading teams, driving growth, and working with major global brands. I was proud of the career I built. But over time, I also began to realize how much of my future was tied to decisions that weren’t entirely mine to make.

That realization became much more personal when my husband, Dave, experienced an unexpected career transition of his own. It forced us, as a family, to think differently about work, security, success, and what we really wanted our future to look like.

Dave ultimately chose business ownership. And watching him build something of his own changed the way I thought about my own career too.

Today, I’m a Career Ownership Coach™, but more importantly, I’m someone who has lived the questions I now help others answer.

What do I really want? What am I working toward? And how much control do I want to have over what comes next?

For me, the answer always comes back to my family.

I wanted a career that allowed me to be successful without sacrificing the moments that mattered most. I wanted more freedom over my time, more control over my future, and the ability to build something meaningful on my own terms. And I wanted our son to grow up seeing that you don’t have to simply accept the path in front of you. You can create one.

Today, Dave and I are doing that in different ways. He is a business owner. I built a coaching practice around work I genuinely love. And together, as a family, we are focused onowning our future rather than leaving it in someone else’s hands.

That experience is at the heart of why I do what I do.

I work with professionals who have built successful careers but find themselves wondering what comes next. Some have been forced into that question by a layoff or career change. Others simply know they want something different. My job isn’t to convince you to leave corporate America or become a business owner. It’s to help you step outside of the path you already know, get clear on what you truly want your life and career to look like, and explore the possibilities that could get you there.

I bring more than three decades of executive experience to that work, but I also bring something just as important: the perspective of someone who has made the leap herself.

Because your career should support the life you want to build.

And sometimes the first step toward owning your future is simply realizing you have more options than you thought.

Ready to take the lead in your own career? Let’s talk.

“I started with just me and one truck, working out of my garage. I now have four employees, and I am in a commercial space. The earnings potential is pretty well limitless at this point. I am busy. I do have to spend time away from my family just as I did before. But now, if I want to stay home and cook my kids breakfast, I can. On nice sunny days, if I want to cut out early to take the kids swimming, I do. I don’t just have weekends to choose from anymore.”
